This letter is from Jeff & Caroline who opened their home to Nikoli, a Lilac Point Boy from Isis' litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease,
I just saw your email. Jeff went to Arizona on Monday. I have been spending most of my time with the cats so there has not been much time for anything else! Niko, short for Nikoli, (i sounds like long e) is doing extremely well! He is a bold and very sweetlittle fellow! Zeus has finally warmed up to him. The first night, Niko slept with my daughter who came home from college to meet him. The next two nights, he slept with my son. The past two nights Zeus and Niko have both slept in our bed. The growling has stopped and I only hear an occasional hiss. They play a lot, but I have to closely monitor their play because Zeus can get too rough. I think they will will end up being best of friends. Zeus is still not quite himself, but he is adjusting. I can tell he is still a little jealous. They did both get in my lap for the first time this morning! That is a milestone. Overall, the transition for both of them is going better than I could have imagined based on past experience. Nikoli is the most well adjusted kitten I have ever seen. He never seemed scared with us or with Zeus. He slept in my lap the whole way back from Lexington. He is a much better traveler than Zeus. We have taken Zeus on trips many times, but he does not like to ride. He cannot settle down. Anyway, Nikoli seemed to adjust immediately. He is a pleasure!!
Thanks for the wonderful job that you do with your kittens.
We are grateful!

This letter is from the Hancock Family who opened their
home to Ishii, a Blue Point girl from Suki's litter.
|

|
To Alease Wilson:
My family adopted a beautiful blue point kitten, Ishii, from Alease Wilson. This precious baby has brought a world of love to our lives! She knows when one of us doesn’t feel well or are just down. Like any truly faithful friend she’s there for us. Her enigmatic personality can put a smile on the grumpiest of faces. She is smart beyond belief and looks to please any chance she gets. She comes when called and even plays fetch....our dogs don’t even play fetch (properly)!
As former cat rescue foster parents, we know the time and energy it takes to raise healthy, personable and loving babies. None of the over 400 cats and kittens that came through our home during our “rescue days” have ever turned out like our little Ishii. And we were known for turning out great cats! It truly goes to show the excellent lineage, time, care and effort that Alease puts into these unbelievably sweet babies! We swear that if Alease decided to breed rattlesnakes they’d be kissable and loving.
Our 11 year old nephew who is severely allergic to cats and hasn’t touched one since he was 5 is able to hold and kiss Ishii. He loves her so much he always asks to come over to stay the weekend. Obviously, any doting aunt and uncle love this! My 12 year old nephew has gone so far as to ask if we would leave Ishii to him in our will. We relented and agreed. It speaks volumes about this kitty and how Alease made her a masterpiece!
Alease has also been there 24/7 for any questions or concerns we have had. It amazes us how her love and care did not stop when Ishii came home. She genuinely loves each and every one of the kids she produces which makes for the most PERFECT cat we have EVER owned! I can’t thank Alease enough for allowing us the privilege to own one of these special cats.
Sincerely,
The Hancock Family
Love you Alease!

Hi Alease,
I know it's only been a week but just wanted to let you know how our little girl was doing. We decided to name her Meena. She doing great. It took her like 2 days to get used to the the family and her surroundings. She is the sweetest cat ever. She loves to be pet and to sit on your lap and purrs everytime. We have another kitten we had adopted and they love to run around and play together. I know she's really happy to be here. And I just wanted to say thank you again :)

This letter is from The McNiel Family who opened her home to a Blue Point girl, Willow, from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
This is 2 letters combined into one testimony.
Good morning Mama Kat!
Just wanted to take a moment to touch base.
I first want to say sorry for not emailing you right away. As soon as we picked up the baby..It was a late night & by the time we picked her up..when we got settled in it was after 4am...we had a little bit of a sleep in .. you are 3hrs a head..no wonder you were worried. : (
Willow is everything you described & more. Rod said you nailed it on the head when you spoke about her making eye contact. She wants to make sure she has your attention.
We all love her so much ... she is the cutest little thing I've ever seen!
It's like she has this instinct to give you what your heart needs. She is never too far away from me at any given time..and the SNUGGLES!! OMG! Melt your heart !!
She is eating well & using the litter like a good girl..she is already bombing around the house..playing with her toys ..she's a hoot!
I can't thank you enough...honestly! I am so glad to have found you .
I love reading all your posts on fb ..these people love their little baby's but they seem to also have a lot of adoration for you ..that says a lot.
Please know that your baby is well loved and taken care of ..
I will be in touch soon!
Sending you a big hugs from all of us!
Letter #2
Alease,
One could only hope to have this smooth of a transition.
I know you may think i am funny but I feel as though i was guided to you ..like i mentioned in my past e-mail ...I had spent some time looking on line ...googling information..reading up on the breeders..I kept going back to you reading all your emails of happy new parents that had adopted kittens from you. I have never done anything like this before..With your first email I knew I'd be
speaking to you more. I know you understood the pain I was in after loosing Audrey. She had taken a piece of me when she left i missed her little face & her sleeping on my head.
It was an instant love for both Rodney & I when we seen her in her kennel ...she looked up at us & gave a "meow" . My husband & I looked at each other in aw... Is she real?!?!
She was not shy & took no time crawling over us..purring & head butts.. It was as if she knew exactly what we were needing .
She is a perfect addition to our little family ... I had a little cry yesterday ...i was looking down at her peacefully sleeping on my lap. I am very fortunate Alease.
I have a lot of respect for you & even more so now. Thank you for being there & thanks to the girls as well as your husband.
My promise to you is that I will Love Willow with all my heart & spoil her rotten!
I will keep you posted on our little girls doings.
take care ...xo
Sincerely, The McNiels

This letter is from Mark who opened his
home to Roxanne (Lilac Point) and Layla (Blue Point) from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
|
Dear Ms. Wilson,
How can I thank you?
There isn't any way for me!
Neither my life growing up nor my years on my own included a pet. I simply never had one before. Countless friends of mine had them so I'd always been familiar with them but I never got one myself even though I always loved animals. Dogs were definitely out of the question considering my work schedule. A while ago, I dated someone briefly who had a Siamese cat which got me thinking of them. I did quite a bit of research; went on the internet, read many reviews from independent sources (not simply your site), and was very lucky to find you because of all that I've heard about.
After many conversations over some time, your family sent me a beautiful Lilac Point (Roxanne) and an adorable Blue Point (Layla) from Vienna's litter. I've been blessed to have them since July 4th and they've only brought me such happiness. Like most people, I have a lot of friends who own all kinds of cats and their pets are all high-maintenance, aloof, and hyper-nervous cats that hide under furniture when guests arrive or aren't much of a companion when alone. That is clearly NOT the case with your kittens. Mine are sweet, extremely friendly, and endlessly affectionate miniature-people who are nice to everyone who visit and follow me around my place the entire time I'm home. They are literally cartoon-characters each with their own individual personalities. There is only one reason why they're different from any other cats out there-- YOU. The way you socialize, train, and prepare your litters makes ALL the difference and it shows. Both the parents you've used to breed your litters are of amazing temperament and how you handle the litters once they're born are why my kittens are the sweetest things which ever came into my home. No matter if it's with guests who visit me or if we go to the vet, I'm extremely proud at how everyone marvels over not only how beautiful they look but how angelic they are!
For anyone who contacts you about a kitten, I have some advice based on my extensive experience with you. First off, one should follow your directions exactly; care, feeding, maintenance, preparation, etc. You know your breed and all the right things one needs to do for them (I know a lot of people who are cat owners and they're all giving crazy, contradictory advice which I've ignored 100%). Anyone should put their trust in your knowledge. Secondly, if anyone plans to approach you about a kitten, they ought to make sure they themselves are planning to be good & responsible owners. While you have a very good heart, you're extremely clear and quite thorough in making sure a prospective owner is going to do the right things once they receive a kitten from you. If one chooses to get huffy & puffy about that, then that's definitely a sign they're not a good fit. Don't ever let someone make you feel bad about that!
I am so blessed and happy to have these wonderful kittens and can't thank you enough for them because they've been such brightness during a time right now that's been so personally tough for me. I've been recently going through what has become the most difficult period of my life and having Layla and Roxanne in my home is what's been bringing me through it all as I hope to get through this time ok. I honestly wouldn't know what I'd do if I didn't have them showering me with sweetness every moment that I'm home.
I genuinely and sincerely thank you for that.
Mark

This letter is from The Scroggin Family who opened their
home to Zeke (Chocolate Point) from Suki's litter.
|

|
Alease –
Great to hear from you.
I thought you might like to see that little Zeke has grown up to be as big as our Zorro. Both were very careful in deciding on their costumes for Halloween. Zeke chose Batman, and Zorro chose Count Dracula. Both then went back to playing.
It was Zeke’s first Halloween – we had over 450 visitors in Georgetown.
Zeke is a great joy. Sometimes he purrs so powerfully, he almost knocks himself over. He is a professional and tireless fetcher and also will roll over on voice command – after which he gets to play with Dad’s mouse on a string.
Keep in touch.

I'm just going to paste our testimonial right here, Alease. I'd be happy to rewrite if you'd like - never claimed to be a writer...
Our testimonial of British Mists Cattery, and of the family members we procured from there…
My wife has wanted a Siamese cat ever since she was a girl. When we finally got to a point in our lives where we could think about making that dream a reality, the first thing we did was to do some research on the internet. We live in rural, southern Virginia, so we were intrigued by the presence of a breeder in North Carolina when we found the British Mists website. My wife’s excitement grew as she viewed the pictures of the truly gorgeous animals being raised there. That excitement level continued to grow as we read about how Alease Wilson raised her cats, how she trained them and socialized them, how she didn’t just run a kitty mill and get rid of her animals to whomever had the money and as soon as she could unload the kittens. Her requirement for not letting the kittens go home with their owners until the age of 12 weeks, and her careful screening of prospective owners speak volumes to the dedication and the love Alease has for “her babies”.
We learned so much about cats in the course of waiting for the one we had picked out, through reading all the wonderful material compiled on the website. We have two female cats at home already, and they are now happily enjoying a brand new diet as a result of our experience with Alease.
We knew we wanted one of Alease’s kittens, sired by Cinnamonz and Shady, immediately – we were lucky to see their pictures on the internet when they were just days old – so we immediately put down a deposit. Alease graciously allowed us to visit, so we did – once at 4 weeks, and again at 8 weeks. We fell in love with two of them, but picked out our little Edgar to be the next member of our family when the twelve week waiting period ended. As we returned to our home after that second visit, my wife and I decided we’d like to get a second male, to be able to have and to raise two brothers. Alease just happened to have another one for us, and the rest is history.
Edgar and Winston are truly magnificent animals. They are cute, rambunctious, and extremely lovable – they are irresistible. They’ve been happy and well-adjusted to our household since day one. We’ve introduced them to our two female cats, and they’ve had no problems whatsoever. Alease instructed us what to look for and how to facilitate “the babies” transition to life in our household, and was pretty much an encyclopedia of anything to do with cats. Her love of her animals has translated to a wonderful experience for us. My wife’s dreams of Siamese ownership paled in contrast to the real thing, to the joys we are currently having with Edgar and with Winston. Alease can put you in touch with us if you’d like a personal spoken testimony – we can’t say enough positive about Alease, about British Mists Cattery, and especially about “her babies”.
Sincerely, The James'

Alease,
I didn't think I could love any cats as much as I do these boys! They are so much fun and such good companions! This is a rare moment of being still because they are definitely in the wild teenage years, but aren't they gorgeous! More photos to follow. Keep doing what you're doing! Many thanks also for sending them together; I can't imagine not having the two of them!

This letter is from The Cohen Family who opened their home to Bosco, a Chocolate Point from Mistque's litter.
|

|
Hey Alease!
Hope this finds you doing well and happy! Hope all your boys and girls are as well.
Our little guy is doing just fabulous!! Could note happier
or healthier! I swear he gets more loving and smarter every
morning I wake and see him. He likes to sit on the counter
and watch me shave in the morning, he can't resist when
I'm not looking to smack me across the face to see what
the white stuff is ;) It's quite a wake up!
Attached are a couple photos. The one where you can just
see is ears is him sitting at the table. He sits there where
he can see the big screen tv the best. He loves his television!!
The other is on top of the fridge which is where one of
their 3 beds are. They like it there because they're high up
and warm air comes from the back of the fridge. You can't
sneak up and take pictures because he has bionic hearing.
See how big he is next to Radar. He's grown so so much.
Radar looks a little bigger there because he fluffs his head
when Bosco bathes him which is all the time!
|
| |
I give him a kiss on the head often and tell him it's from you.
He recognizes the name Alease and turns his head. I can't
get over how he still sticks his paws up to be picked up and
lets out a human sounding stretch when you pick him up
under the front legs. He still loves to crash into the kitchen
door and let it bounce off the wall, runs a lap around and does
it again. He's not 3 pounds anymore so it's quite the crash
when he hits it ;)
I think that he will add some time to Radars life because they
have gotten to be close buddies. Some time after the holidays
I will be in touch to get another little one from you. I would
like him to have a playmate closer to his age for times that the
old man just wants to sleep on the fridge! They have a carpeted
box that when they aren't using it to get on the fridge that they
play hide and seek in.
I'll keep you posted on
Bosco as he grows. He is such a great joy in my life ;)
Take care,

Hi Alease!
I wanted to send you new photos of Bodhi and his step brother Haiku. They are getting along famously. And Bodhi has gotten so big! He is a bodacious and mischievous fellow that we love with all our hearts!
He sleeps through the night with us now. Curls right up by my face. He still has quite a voice when he wants something--usually food or attention!
hope you and your clan are well.

This letter is from The Rogers Family who opened their home to Kitsune,
A Blue Point from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
|
Good Morning Alease!
OMG Kitsune is absolute perfection!! He is buzzing around like a bumblebee already! He acts like he totally owns the place..lol. You nailed it on the head, we won him over with those treats. By last night he was out, playing eating and having a ball. He slept with us last night and purrs like a motor boat. He is eating well, drinking water well, but no “bizness” yet. I think he might want the type of litter you use (feline pine or something like it right?) so we are going to trek out and pick some up to wean him down to what we use. He is a REAL treasure Alease!! I couldn’t ask for more! I feel like my heart is finally starting to heal! Kizzy hasn’t left the top of the entertainment center since we got home..lol! There is a vent in our bedroom door where the cats can see each other and there has been some hissing on Jazzy’s part (jealous lil thing) but that is to be expected and all will come around. It doesn’t faze Kitsune in the least he just buzzes around and ignores it!! I am going to that link right away, I would love to try these and do what I can to help Kanji and Kizzy overcome their fear. There is so much more to life they could enjoy and I would like to help them do that! Kitsune has been so busy buzzing around his new digs I haven’t got any pics yet,but I plan to get LOADS...hee hee!! Thank you Alease, you have given us a bundle of joy that I can’t think you enough for!! When the time comes, you can rest assured I will be coming to YOU!! Kitsune is SO purrrrrfect!!! And his little face! So precious!! Off to Wal Mart for Feline Pine (he is going to be SO spoiled, can you tell?) And I already think he is learning his name!!! Talk more soon!!!
In love with our lil imp!

This letter is from Jeanine and her family who opened their home to Tazo, a Chocolate Point from Isis' litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease!
Tazo is the BEST!!!! I have been meaning to email you some new pics. He is such a good boy and I couldn't have asked for anymore of a velcro cat than him. You were so right! Sleeps with me every single night, loves my husband and son. Is with me EVERYwhere, even helps me brush my teeth. LOL
Yesterday he was out ALL day with Zeke and Jayda!! I've been doing little bits at a time and room to room integration, but everyone has adjusted perfectly. I'm so impressed with all of them! I wasn't worried about Tazo, but with Zeke being so non-dominant, I was worry he was going to be a scaredy-cat. Not at all! He hissed for the first day and that was it. Now they play for hours and yesterday I caught them napping on the same couch. :) He's even doing well with Jayda, our 80 lb dog! We still keep Tazo in our room if we have to leave the house. He is just perfect! Oh and y ou should hear this boy TALK!!! OMG!! Such a LOUD voice for such a tiny thing! LOL
He has just fully changed over to clumping litter and didn't have any issues at all. I've discovered he likes the blue can (fish) of Wellness Core over the Gold one. He wasn't eating as much wet food as I'd like, then I tried the blue CORE and he LOVES it! (but it's more stinky if that's even possible) I wish they made the CORE in the 3oz cans. They do with all the other Wellness canned, just not CORE. :/
Here are a few pictures. I'm trying to figure out how to send you a video once it's off my phone.
Just love him to pieces!

This letter is an UPDATE from Kiki who opened her home to Myoga,
A Chocolate Point from Niet's litter.
|
| |
|
Hiya Alease!
Hope you and all the wonderfully kitties (and doggies) have been doing well! :)
It is amazing that Myoga is now two years old. (where has the time gone?) She is still as energetic as ever though she's learnt that she's not as bouncy as when she was just a kitten -- sometimes running head on into furniture smarts a bit.
Anyhow, since we last checked in she has been doing really well. Toilet training is still successful and I'm contemplating lead training to see if she'll go out for walkies. She definitely has the run of the house and her highness is quite picky about the exact temperature. (anything colder than 23C ... she complains ... anything warmer than 25C ... she complains) She continues to be a regular subject of my stories and photographs resulting in many nice comments on her beauty and amazement in her toilet use. And, of course, colleagues all over the world knew her voice on the phone by occasionally responding to her with "why yes, that is exactly the point!" or "well said!" All depending on the humour levels of the individuals on the phone of course.
For Easter her pseudo-gran gave her a beanie baby scorpion. This is actually an interesting story that links Myoga back to a theft and adoption of a beanie baby roster as her second favourite toy. (her favourite being another stolen Swedish Mole plushy which she has worn down a bit and is now out of reach since it was both a gift to me from a colleague visiting Poland at the time & apparently running around $15 US) Myoga loves throwing the beanie babies up in the air and catching it! After a few good throws she'll bring it over to my feet and ask for me to throw it across the room. The trick is that the beanies have to have the right amount of floppy legs.
I think that her favourite places are either on my lap head butting me or perched on over my shoulder snoring. Since the weather has warmed up a bit she hasn't been fighting her way to come under the covers at 4AM which has been a bit of a relief given that she has a knack for sticking all four freezing cold paws on my nose. Other than that, she seems to have increased her interest in watching Dogs 101; continues to prove to be a fan of John Cleese, Monty Python; grown a fascination with staring down the drain when the laundry is going; "singing" in a dry bath tub; and trying to eat at the other end of whatever piece of Japanese seaweed I might be snacking on.
Since she is two, I found it necessary to tell her today that she is (technically speaking) approaching middle-age and should consider the fact that she's not a kitten anymore. After going through a progression chart and discussing things like doing a better job cleaning her bottom after using the toilet (she comes to tell me that she went and often times wants to get a bit of a cleaning) she looked at me all wide-eyed and proceeded to say "mmmnooooooooooo!" before jumping off the table and running into the other room. She likes to talk back this one ... ;)
Attached are some random photos. Like her sister and her parents she's absolutely gorgeous ... probably with just as quirky with regards to personality.
Hugs and loves to you Alease! & happy (late) mother's day!
Cheers,
Kiki

This letter is from Emrick family who opened their home to Boomer,
A Seal Point boy from Cinnamonz's litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease
I'm [Mrs] Emrick's husband [Mr Emrick]. [Mrs Emrick] told me you didn't receive the
pictures I sent you on Sunday so let's try it again.
First and foremost; we can't thank you enough for making Mother's (and
Father's Day:) the best ever. Boomer already has a nickname,
"Boom-Boom." He's just as you described; cute, fearless and full of
energy.
It took a few days for our Jada (Seal Point) and Pop (Blue Point) to
adjust to their new baby brother but relations are beginning to improve.
Did I mention; fearless? Boomer kept to himself the first couple of
days which is expected with a young kitten but now he's "in your face"
with the other feline's. He's eating great, uses the cat-box and
continues to explore his new home. He's always finding new places to
sleep but best part; where ever he is...when we call out his name he
comes running - meowing along the way. He absolutely infectious and we
love him so much.
You should know that this was the first time we purchased a kitten from
a long distance breeder and as you probably feel about some of your
potential clients; we were a little apprehensive at first. You proved
to be a true professional and we can't thank you enough.
The picture attached is Boomer being greeted by his new sister and
brother. As you will see; all were a little taken back! I will send
additional pictures separately.
Well, Boomer just entered my office for the first time so I better sign
off before he gets into something he shouldn't.
Stay well.

This letter is from the Mushrush Family who opened their
home to King Solomon, a Seal Point boy from Isis' litter.
|
| |
|
Alease, just registered our King Solomon, he has so lived up to that name!! He is the King of the house and each and every time I look at him, I think he must be the most beautiful, perfect wonderful kitten you have ever bred!!!! I know all your "parents" must feel like theirs is the best kitten ever from British Mists Cattery but honestly, Solomon HAS to be the best!!! LOL!! We all love him so much!! He certainly takes after his Mommy, Isis, because he is so very sweet. He has gotten better about the kissing while I am trying to sleep. He now waits until he knows we are awake. Problem is if I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, he thinks he can kiss your face and neck (his rough tongue hurts on the neck though!!) I wouldn't trade his morning kisses for anything, well worth the interrupted sleep!!
I can't thank you enough for him, he is a joy and can't imagine how we go by without him!! My husband even says he is the best kitty we have ever had, I can't say that because it seems unfair to the others, but he is definitely the most beautiful!! My kitties of the past just usually bonded with me and Solomon is the only one that seems to love everyone. I don't mind sharing him with my husband and son, he always sleeps snuggled up to me so the sharing during the waking hours is OK. My husband loves when he starts moving around in the morning, Solomon comes out from under the covers and goes straight to his face to kiss him.
Thanks again and I hope you have a great summer!!!!

This letter is from Gabe who opened their home to Paris.
A Seal Point girl from Mistique's litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease!
I haven't really talked too much about Paris to you guys because I really wouldn't know where to begin, or end for that matter. She is just ridiculously adorable and loving. She has about twenty different names that I call her, she seems to purr when I call her my baby, or ask her who my princess baby is. She talks a lot, her meezer has been described as sounding like a baby goat or a baby lamb. She is the intimidatingly smart. She's a rule bender and a very good girl too. Sometimes she can be a terror, but she eventually runs out of steam and finds a comfortable place to crash. She stands on my shoulders when I'm walking around, climbs up myself and my guests. She greets people at the door, talks to pretty much everyone she sees, and gets about as many compliments in return. Visually she is stunning, and she is SUCH a love. And on and on! Most of my pictures of her are on my phone, I'll try to e-mail them from there.
Two reasons for writing- 1. I was wondering if there was a kitty snack that you would recommend as a treat. Her regular diet is very regular and I was hoping to give her something special or different every once in a while. Even though she nibbles on my sandwiches while I'm eating them. She goes crazy for deli meats like salami and turkey, too cute. 2. I haven't received her papers, not a big deal but I have been expecting them so I thought I'd mention it. Are they framable? If so, what size frame?
Thanks again!
Gabriel

their home to Binx, a Blue Point boy from Vienna's litter.

Hi Alease,
I hope all is well. Well finally I am able to send you a picture or 2. I do have a lot of them but I need to process them and my computer is giving me a lot of trouble. So these were taken just a couple of days ago. He is such a wonderful kitten/cat. Binx is the biggest sweetie and so good with the kids. He spends his time with everyone. He loves to cuddle and gets lots of kisses. Definitely a shoulder cat.
Alease I am so grateful to you and your family for him. I have dreamed of a Siamese cat since I was very little. My aunt use to breed them and she got me hooked. He is everything I wished and more. You have done such a wonderful job. When you say you do this for the love of the breed you weren't kidding. It total shows and I am so very impressed. There is SO much more to say but I will keep this one short.
I almost feel like Thank You isn't enough but what more can be said! Always know that Binx is very loved and will always be a part of this family (as all animals in this house are).
Sincerely
The Hanson Family

their home to Siar, a Blue Point boy from Niet's litter.

|
Dear Alease,
I wanted to thank you so much Alease for my new baby boy Siar, I couldn't of asked for a better breeder. Siar is such a great new companion to my household and to my other Siamese Isles. After a long day at work its so nice to come home to my two boys, and after lots of play the night comes to an end and they both come and snuggle with me through the whole night. He came into my life around my mothers death and his sweet playful energy really helped me through this tough time a lot, I really thank you so much for such a loving cat and keeping in touch with me after the adoption when I had any questions, my life wouldn't be the same without him!

This letter is from the Shannon family who opened their home to Roo & Tigger, both Chocolate Points.
One from Niet's litter, and one from Isis' litter.
|
| |
|
Dear Alease,
After the devastating loss of our beloved 5 year old chocolate point ( Luigi ) to a congenital heart disease our family was in tatters. When we got Luigi we also brought with him a male Seal Point named Mario. They were both the same age and came from different breeders, so from the time they were 10 weeks old they have been together as brothers.
Luigis loss now left us with not only our broken hearts but Mario was now without the companionship of his brother. After much thought and discussion with our trusted vet we decided that what was in everybody's best interest was to begin the search to once again add to our family, this time however we were going to make sure that the breeder that we chose comes with an impeccable record and with recommendations. We searched very carefully through the CFA’s website until we came across the British Mist’s website. We studied it thoroughly and decided to give you a call and WOW was I impressed! After speaking on the phone with you for hours I became very comfortable with our detailed and candid discussion. Some very hard questions were asked on both sides with the one underlying goal for both of us at the forefront. What is in the best interest for our little furry children? You were not looking for simply a place to place your kittens, you were looking for a loving and caring life long home for your kids and we were looking for that perfect match to make our family whole once again.
After receiving raving reviews from another adopted family and your own personal vet we knew that you were the one who could help us. So now we have two beautiful chocolate boys,( Roo & Tigger ) and we are one big happy family again. Mario just loves his new brothers. They eat, sleep, and play together and there have been zero problems. He took to them immediately and have been non stop entertainment since. Words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude for the personal care you took with us to help us find those special ones we were looking for.
Thank you for all that you have done.

This letter is from Philip and Laurie who opened their home to Cyrano & Ricardo.
A Lilac Point, & Blue Point from Meeka's litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease & family!
It’s the boys’ birthdays!! We thought you might want to see how they’ve grown. They’re both SO beautiful! I hope these all come through. One is a funny video of Cyrano chasing his tail on top of the fridge. As you can see, they love to be up high. I have a question. Cyrano, the smallest one, weighs 9.7 lbs. His brother is almost 11 lbs. and a bit bigger in size. Will Cyrano ever catch up with his brother, or will he remain this size. I heard that Siamese can grow for up to 18 months. Not a concern but just curious. Their personalities are so defined! We are so blessed to have these three Siamese. Thank you for all your help at the beginning.

Hi Alease,
This kitten is just gorgeous. We took her to our vet this afternoon and had her checked. We had her tested for Feluk/Fiv just to have a baseline and she was negative as expected. She got so many ooohhhh and aaahhhh’s; she made us feel like very proud parents. She’s been out in the master bedroom and has decided to curl up under the bed. She’s used the box but hasn’t been interested in food yet. I’m sure that she’s worn out by now so we’ll just let her sleep. She comes to me right away…not my husband as much. Perhaps she’ll be another moma’s cat? Anyway, I’ll let you know how she does. Your cats are beautiful!

This letter is from Max and Kim who opened their home to Moe,
a Seal Point from Suki's litter.

Hi Alease,
Just a quick update on our baby boy. We decided to change his name from Mao to Moe. He has grown into a handsome young cat, full of love and energy. He is always making us laugh as we watch him play. And then when he's finished playing, he wants to snuggle! And he has really bonded with our 6-year-old black and white cat, Razz. They're buddies.
He's added so much to our lives and home. We thank you again for the wonderful job you did in raising him - Moe is such a loving, well-adjusted cat!
Thank you,

This is the 2nd letter from Bob & Ida. This time they opened ther home to a Seal Point from Suki's litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease,
Our second kitten from your cattery, Cheng, has become part of the family now. She and Meng have become mates and they hang out together. Ida and I are really pleased with how well both cats have adjusted to our home given that they came into our home four weeks apart from one another. They have really brought joy back into our home since the loss of our beloved Balinese, Ping. We have nap time in the den where either one and I spend "quality time" in the recliner. On a recent night, I even had both asleep with me. Once again, a kitten from your home has far exceeded our expectations in how well it was socialized and ready to blend in with our other cats. Ida and I would easily recommend your cattery to anyone looking for a companion in a Siamese kitten. Both kittens checked out OK with our vet and we will be having them spayed in the coming weeks.
Here are some photos. Cheng is the seal point and Meng is the lilac point.
Thanks again,
Bob & Ida (North Carolina)

This letter is from Debra, David, Chelsea, & Strudel who opened her home to a Seal Point from Vienna's litter.
|

|
Hi Alease,
Our little Sookie has settled right in, and now rules the house. She and our doxie, Strudel, love to play together, although there are times when I have to step in, to save the lamps and china! :-)
I hope you enjoy the photos. Sookie is everything we were looking for: lively, loving, mischievous, and beautiful. She has already brought us hours of laughter, and has filled our home with her special brand of Siamese love!
{2nd letter}
We celebrated Sookie's "month-a-versary" this weekend. It seems like she has been with us forever, not just a few weeks - it feels as if she has always been a part of our family. We do appreciate you sharing her with us. Her personality is blossoming, and she is growing like a weed. She loves our back porch, where she can watch the birds and lay in the sun. And she has definately found her "meezer" voice! She goes from zero (asleep) to 100 miles an hour (awake) without hesitation, running through the house, "killing" her favorite stuffed toys, and standing up on her hind legs to watch TV or to jump into a box - we call her the "Sy-a-roo" because she is part Siamese and part kangaroo!
We'd be happy for you to add any of our comments and photos to your website. Sookie came to us so well acclimated to family life that she melded right into our household without a wimper - she obviously received wonderful care and love from you and your family and is a perfect testimonial to the quality of your cattery.
We keep taking photos (when we can catch her still for a moment), and I'll send more as soon as I can.
We are so glad we found your cattery. Our last Siamese came from a breeder whose interest was in showing, and that kitty came to us unaccustomed to a normal household and totally unsocialized. It took intensive care and attention to bring that kitty around, but with Sookie there has been no such need and no concerns. We truly appreciate the fact that you were willing to put so much into her that now you miss her -
your time and attention show!
We're glad your family enjoyed our photos and emails - we'll try to keep them coming!
-Debra, David, Chelsea, Strudel, and Sookie (North Carolina)
{2nd Letter}
Alease: Thank you so much for all the information. I feel very confident now in refusing the vaccine [feline leukemia]. I have every reason to have confidence in what you tell me, because the proof is in the pudding - in this case, the pudding called Sookie. She is without a doubt the healthiest and best dispositioned kitten we've ever had (I've had 5 Siamese over my life, in addition to many, many strays and "free" kitties).
My sister and her family came for Thanksgiving and Sookie met them at the door. My sister just stood there for at least 10 minutes while Sookie sat on her shoulder and loved on her. Sookie entertained everyone all weekend. My 12 year-old niece spent hours playing games with Sookie, and I had to check my sister's purse when they left to make sure she was not kidnapping our precious little girl! ;-) My sister remarked over and again on what a special kitten we have, and her daughter began to beg her for a Siamese.
I asked because I trusted you would point me in the right direction - there is no greater resource than a committed, caring breeder. I researched for a long time, looking for a breeder who cares more about breeding healthy, loving babies than in showing, or "improving the breed." or in running a business. Our little Sookie is the proof that you mean what you say. We appreciate you!
Thanks again,
Debra

This letter is from the Bozeman Family who opened her home to Izzy, a Chocolate Point from Isis' litter.
|
| |
|
Hi Alease,
Our kitten we got from you turned one this past Sunday and is the joy of our lives. She is VERY active and climbs EVERTHING (including people) in sight, she loves to be high up and would walk on the ceiling if she could only figure out how to do it!! Rodney just walks around the house with her draped on his shoulders, grinning with love and pride.
I was wondering when you would have another litter ready, we are considering getting her a little brother (my daughter was living with us when we brought Izzy home and has 3 cats--she has now bought a home of her own and of course Izzy's "sisters" went with their mother and Izzy is now alone.) Besides I sure would love to have me another little boy.
I have attached a few pictures of Izzy so you can see how adorable she is!
Thanks for responding to my question asap and please include the current adoption fee.

This letter is from the Sommer family who opened their home to Cupid & Dindi,
A Chocolate Point & Seal Point from Niet's litter.
|
| |
|
Hi Alease…
Here are some photos…everyone is adjusting. Well, they are doing great…right at home. He is a little lover boy. We think we are going to call him Cupid, but he’s got such a wild personality we’re still thinking. Calling her Dindi (pronounced ZHEEN-zhee) which you probably knew! She’s got a great personality, and together they are double trouble. They love the tower. Eating very well. We are fully on Core, but may try some additional raw over the weekend.
Simba, big lilac male, loves them. After 3 days he had to get in on the action, so they are doing great.
Hope all is going well! Do you have any left? Will keep you posted!
Warm regards,
The Sommer's (North Carolina)

This letter is from the Knickman family who opened their home to Chiate, A Chocalate Point from Suki's litter.
|
| |
Good morning Alease,
I have not corresponded lately as this household has been busy travelling
since we last talked. I wanted to send you a picture of our beautiful
prince. As you can see, he is growing up so fast. He is a big handsome
boy, and we adore him.
I am sincere when I say that he has been the most well adjusted and loving
of all my Siamese. This is my fourth in 44 years. All of my Siamese have
been unique and loving in their own individual ways, as only Siamese can be.
But they have been quite selective in who they warm up to. Chiate welcomes
anyone who comes in his presence. Due to my surgery, the first month he was
home with us, we did not have many visitors. But as of late there has been
"catching up', and he welcomes everyone charmingly and with obviously
excitement.
He is very smart. Quickly understands and responds to "no", playful one
minute and snuggling the next. He had great respect for our two adult cats
and has completely won one over and they play together. The most elderly
cat expects respect from Chiate and Chiate gives it without any fuss.
He has had his last series of shots and goes next week for his rabies shot.
He has an appointment the first of April to give up his family jewels :-).
He eats well and is a ball of energy. Yet, when he crashes, he wants a lap.
Oh, this is one of my joys with him. I love lap cats!
Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt him. We are so blessed that you
called us when he became available thru unusual circumstances. Your
consideration is soooo appreciated. He is just what we needed in a special
time in our life.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Knickman (Florida)

This letter is from the Lawrimore Family who opened
their home to Brooklyn & Queens,
Chocolate Point Twins from Suki's litter.
|
| |
 |
Hi Alease,
Well it has been a busy week! We've gone from being strangers to being mommy and daddy to two very loving kitties. They have settled in nicely, purr a lot, love to be petted, and are very healthy and active.
On Thursday we took them to the vet for their rabies shot and check-in, and they were extremely well behaved. The vet told us twice how pretty they are, and what a pleasure it was to see such pretty purebreds instead of ordinary tabby cats. Their spaying is scheduled for mid-March, I think March 11. |
| |
We already love them dearly, and Brooklyn (the extravert) is working to befriend our older male Megabyte. Queens is still more stand-offish but, as you predicted, has become comfortable with us and likes to be petted too. In fact she talks much more than Brooklyn, including "pick me up and pet me please" :-)
After getting nothing but "white" eyes using a flash, I finally got this attached shot with available light showing their pretty eyes.
You did such a wonderful job raising them, socializing them, and teaching them to like and trust us "giant" people. We will keep you updated as time goes on.
Best regards,
The Lawrimores (North Carolina)

This letter is from the Hickman family who opened their home to Bagheera, a Seal Point from Niet's litter.
|
| |
Hi Alease!
Young Bagheera (named for the black panther in the Jungle Book stories) is doing great! What a great little traveler he was, sat on my lap like a big boy all the way home. It was love at first site with Jim, my husband. In fact, Jim has taken over pampering the little fellow, and Bagheera seeks his lap out first when he's ready for a nap. Amir and Bagheera were a little wary of each other at first but are now the best of buddies and play non-stop.
Although I now he must miss you all, he seems to be settling in just fine. The house is big and he gets lost occassionally, but he has quite a mouth on him so he's pretty easy to find. We all couldn't be happier with the little guy Alease, he is such a little charmer!
I am attaching a picture from his first night away from home and will include some of him and Amir tomorrow in another email. Hope all is going well and hope Bagheera's brothers and sisters are happy in their new homes as well!
UPDATE MARCH 2010:
Bagheera has been a great addition to the family. He is very close to to Amir, who is a few months older. They chase each other all over the house, and play around with ea other all the time. When they take our nap I can always find them in a little ball together.
We call Bagheera the little guy with personality. He does not shy away when family and friends come over. As it turns out he has attached himself to me. If he is not off with Amir he wants to sit in my lap, or be picked up, or be somewhere close by. Sandy says he is my cat :). He also has this habit of pressing his paws over and over into my bare arms while seemingly trying to get something. What does that mean? Sandy starts to laugh when I pick him up because she knows he's going to try it.
I'm not particularly a cat person, but as I told Sandy Bagheera is an exception. You can't help but like him. He just grows and grows on you. So thanks for such a well adjusted cat. Again sorry for the delay.
Regards
Mr. Hickman

Chocolate Points from Niet's litter.

Hi Alease!
Thank you so much for these magical little creatures.
I am absolutely enthralled!
They curled up and slept on my lap the whole way home in the car and they are adjusting very quickly to the new digs. I think their names are Oscar and Perla.
I am aware of the kind of effort, on the part of you and your family, that it took for these kits to be so extremely loving and affectionate. I realize that this is VERY unusual and they are an incredible gift to me. I have been going through a difficult break up and I really don't know how to thank you enough for how much the kittens are helping me at this moment. I adore them and will treat them with honor their whole lives through!
I will send pix soon!
Thank you, thank you so much,

Hello Alease,
I just wanted to let you know that Jazmin is doing fantastic! She was very shy the first day, and yesterday she really came out of her shell. She has been following me around ever since; she is running around the house and being very happy and playful. My daughter is really enjoying her too. She curled up with me last night and went to sleep, and she jumps in my lap almost every time I sit down. We love her so much! I wanted to share this picture with you of her earlier. Her favorite place to sleep during the day is in the baby swing lol. At night she cuddles with me in my bed, its adorable. I have never seen a cat as cuddlesome as she is. If I am sitting down during the day she is sure to jump in my lap and sit with me, and she loves to give kisses too. We all love her so much. We have a yorkie too and they are the best of friends! They really enjoy each other’s company. I just love little Jazmin so much I wouldn't mind having several more of them running around lol. I hope you are your family are doing well.

This letter is from the Morris family who opened their home to TJ & Sierra, A Blue Point from Meeka's litter
and a Lilac Point from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
Hey, Alease!
I will give you another kitten update:
They are DOING FANTASTIC!! Hug yourself and your family and then high-five each other for raising such beautiful, amazing, and well-adjusted little bundles of joy.
Oh my, our house is just so much more full of love now. We have always been a tight-knit family, and of course Mako was a huge part of that, so adding TJ & Sierra has been a complete blessing. We could not be happier. I’m teary eyed right now because I miss them so! I can’t wait to be back home with them at 5:30 this evening. My mother-n-law who cares for Alec & Corinne during the days that I work, well, she is bringing the kids back to my house by 3:30 so that the kittens will have only been in the house for 5 hours without companionship. I’m sure they’re doing fine. They are completely comfortable all over the house. Sierra is 90% at ease and TJ is 100% at ease as if they’ve been with us for months. Again, kudos to you!!!!
They both ate great dinners last night, though Sierra ate her dinner later than TJ. She was still a bit skittish about eating with all of the hustle/bustle of the kitchen in the evening, but this morning when I was downstairs with them at 5:30, they both ate like champs. TJ’s appetite is fantastic. We can see Sierra gaining her appetite back as well. They’re getting plenty of water, too. They’re also using the litter box like pros.
Last night Sierra slept with Corinne until about 4:45 and then bounced in to say hello to me and Steve. I always get up around 5:00am, so her purring is a great alarm. TJ slept the night with Alec. He popped in about 5 minutes after Sierra. We think Sierra went and got TJ and then the three of us went downstairs. They ate breakfast together (devoured it!) and then played with their mice on our stairs. They LOVE their mice and they LOVE playing fetch with them up and down the staircase. It is so fun to watch!! I’ll have to get a picture of that to share.
Thank you again for your compliments regarding me and my family. You are TOO KIND! We are so fortunate to have found you. I know that it was meant to be. I am sure it is difficult saying good-bye to your babies, and then also hearing the brothers and sisters left behind wonder where their other siblings went to. That has got to be very emotionally difficult. You have a very strong and big heart to be able to do what you do.
Much love and many hugs,
The Morris Family (California) |

Hi Alease,
I just wanted to write you a little note to thank you again for our darling bundle of joy and give you an update. Genghis is truly the most affectionate and outgoing kitty. He greets everyone that comes through the door with a long loud meow, and begs for them to pick him up. He wants to be held by everyone, and i mean everyone. He gives lots of hugs and kisses. Everyone that meets him is always so surprised at how outgoing he is and always says that he is the friendliest cat they have ever met. We think so too! He has grown so fast, he is looking more cat like and less kitten. And, if i do say so myself, he is extremely handsome. I was just looking at your site and i think he looks like his dad. He is verrrry playful. he loves those little fur balls and feather toys. He brings them right up to you to throw for him. He is quite the little fetcher! He is also very athletic. We have a giant cat condo tower that both our cats love, but Genghis is the only one that runs up it and goes down it the same way he went up, face first. Its pretty hilarious watching him scale down the carpeted tower face first. He is so funny.
|
| |
Genghis and our almost 6 year old Siamese Ramses are getting along pretty well. Ramses has really taken on the "old man" role with our rambunctious Ghengis. They play quite a bit everyday, but Ramses cant always keep up or isnt in the mood, so he lets Ghengis know. But they snuggle and groom one another and enjoy each other most of the time.
Genghis has become a daddy's boy. My now husband (we got married in July) Chris and Genghis are best buddies, and i like to think Genghis likes me more, but deep down i really think he likes Chris the best. It doesnt bother me though, cause with Genghis there is plenty of love and affection to go around.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know about our little guy. He is everything i was hoping for and much much more. When you said he was friendly and flirty, you werent kidding! He sure is! He is amazing, we love him so much.
Sincerely,
The Wades (California)

BritishMists Siamese Cattery was a wonderful experience for our family. Our boy kittens were obviously given the utmost care and love during the time we waited to get them. We were given the opportunity to visit our new kittens during our wait period which heighten our excitement to bring them to their new home. Our daughter, Haley (pictured) Loves our boys as if they are her own children, they are so playful and they sleep with us too. If you are considering getting a Siamese Cat I would highly recommend BritishMists and would also recommend that you get two, they are so playful with one another and keep each other company.

This letter is from the Lauren who opened her home to
Xi Ling (Shey Ling), a Chocolate Point from Isis' litter.
and later to Shen, a Blue Point from Meeka.
|
| |
|
Hi Alease, Sorry it has been a while since i have updated. Your sweet little Bitsy Xi Ling is doing wonderfully. she is quite at home and loves all of us equally. I think that is one of my favorite things about her, she is such a team player! She doesn't have favorites. We are all her family and she loves us all!
We got the kitties a big cat tree. it is almost 6 ft. tall and has a hammock, 8 levels, toys, and a kitty condo. Well, let me tell you, no sooner had we built it than Miss Ling MOVED IN. She was quite content. So comfortable, in fact, that I think she must have been waiting on her home for a while now. Edward was happy to let her have the house, and he would just come for visits and snuggles (and good GRIEF! she is grooming him again! he simply puts a paw on her forehead and gently tries to keep her at arms length.) Lately, though they were curled up together in there all night and some of the day. Omar, did finally give in and give her a good grooming the other night while they were in my lap watching tv with us. She loved it.
She is still into absolutely EVERYTHING! She types on my key board, she gives us one warning meow then throws herself at your chest (or your back) if she wants to be held. The back is a little painful since you can't catch her... Stan lifted the toilet lid and she ran into the room and leapt in to the toilet before he could even sit~! ( She is fine with a bath, BTW) She growls at her toys as she attacks and carries them and she can play a mean game of fetch. She has also decided that she would like to play guitar. Stan plays a lot around the house and he was playing when she came up and really studied how his fingers were making the strings make noise UP CLOSE. then she tried to strum it. he wouldn't let her since this was quite a costly guitar and she would scratch it, so she tried again with her teeth. She takes one string gently in her teeth and plucks it, then she does another. It is really funny. Nothing makes Xi Ling happier than making people laugh, so she was pleased as punch.
{2nd Letter}
Hi Alease, I just wanted to send some pictures of the babies. As you can see, Xi Ling is still into everything. Shen is gorgeous and still ravenous. He leaps in the fridge at every chance and had developed quite a love of green beens. He would eat a whole bowl of them (raw) and he likes squash as well. Every time I came in from the garden he would check me over for fresh produce. This first frost has been a real bummer for him. He still runs through the house leaping from the floor, bouncing off of the wall and catapolting himself on to cabinets 7 ft up. He likes to leap up on to the coat pegs and balance there. He swings from the back of the rocker with his back feet dangling in between the slats. He loves listening to us play music and is allowed to hang out in the music room as long as he doesn't attack my bow. He still thinks that my 10 yr old Robert is the best thing in the whole world and turns his purr on high whenever he even sees him. I swear those two are peas in a pod.
Ling has been in the hospital twice for eating things she shouldn't. I think I wrote to tell you about her first time when she ate the foam off of my cello stand. The second time, we never did figure out what it was. the vet didn't have to go in, but did a barium x-ray and kept her several days mapping the blockage until it passed to her lg. intestine. They tell me that she has the award for the animal with the longest sustained note. I'm guessing that Shen just never really got going when he was there because he can beat her hands down.
This picture was taken when Ling got back from the vets the second time. Both boys climbed right in the carrier ready for their turn. They all get along very well. Edward has even picked up some siamese habits like shoulder surfing (he is not quite as good at it as Ling) . We call him Quai Chang.
I hope everything is well with you and your family. I was a little worried since your website hasn't changed in so long. Are you doing ok? Was your husband's surgery successful? I hope you had a good Thanks giving!
Thanks again for these cats. They are the light of our life! Lauren (North Carolina)

Alease Wilson-BritishMists Siamese Cattery:
After getting Tony (a year and a half ago) Barb and I knew he would not be the only boy we would be getting from you. Then along came Tom, at first our Seal point Taz did not care for him, But under the ever watchful eye of Tony (Toms big brother) all is now well. The two boys are happy and content always together and always ready to pounce on one another. Barb and I love our little men and are proud to take them to the Vet and or Pet Smart where they are usually mobbed however Tony is not a fan of the vet. Thank you so much for working with them, you can really see a difference between our Seal point Taz and the two boys.

Hiya, Alease!
Thanks a thousand times over! I think we are good for now. Mostly it is the other half who is fretting all the time as he has never had a cat before and does not seem to trust my knowledge even though I grew up with them.
She really is a doll Alease! And when we get ready for another you are my go to gal for such perfect babies! She's a fast study! Yesterday we had a great time playing "nezumi" (mouse) where she brought the nezumi back to me to throw again a couple of times. Nezumi is "so yesterday" though ... today it is all about the bird flier and hiding under the living room futon cubby hole -- while talking to herself.
Attached are a few snaps I grabbed of her in action today -- good timing for her; ended up working from home today due to a massive overload of virtual meetings. Though one colleague in London asked if that was Myoga he heard on the conf call. :) apparently she had some input into corporate strategy she wanted people to hear.
Also, Myoga is making a name for herself globally. Again on a call today she needed to make herself heard! Luckily my team is always in good form so they didn't mind and found it hysterical. On another project, my working partner wants to create a Myoga email address so she can chime in on strategy work. this is all getting a little out of hand now!
Anyhow, you are grand and we will always remember you. She gets hugs where we tell her you love her and miss her along with her twin. I'll check in periodically when I can but if you are ever looking for an update please ping! I'm a mad photo-hobbiest (if you couldn't tell) and will be more than happy to send updates when possible.
Hope you have a grand rest of the week and weekend.
Cheers,
Kiki, DK & Myoga (California) |

This letter is from the Cash family who opened their home to Akira, a Blue Point from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
|
Alease,
Everything could not be any better. Akira has adjusted very well and everyone loves her.. well except for our older tabby (Jasmine). Jasmine is much older and tends to want to be left alone. It's really not a big deal because I saw Jasmine curled up to Akria about a couple weeks ago. I sent some pictures of Akira and Emoein. I pretty much called this one when I said that those two would be cuddle buddies. On a few pictures, I guess Akira didn't get herself cleaned good so Emoein decided to help her out. All in all, Akira is doing outstanding.
About a week and a half ago, Akira had her rabies vaccine at our vet. She was the talk of the vet when she showed up. I never seen so many doctors and assistants pile into one little room just to see her. Everyone was complimenting us on her shiny fur, fur coloring, and gorgeous little blue eyes. I had to tell some of them where Akira came from and they think you did an outstanding job with her. ;) However, Akira is not going to be too happy with us come this Wednesday. Her appointment to get spaded is then. I will make sure we get those papers to you promptly. Other than that, we are really glad and proud that she is a member of our family. We will keep you informed.

UPDATE December 2010:
Dear Alease,
We would like to wish you a Merry Christmas from the Cash Family. Remember Akira
a blue point from Vienna’s litter, well she’s doing just fine and would like you to see
how well she has grown over the year. In one of the pictures, Amanda is stretching
her out (in which she loves because she thinks she’s showing off) you can see just
how big she has grown in this year. You can defiantly tell she is a happy healthy
Siamese. She has fully adjusted with out other two cats, especially our Maine Coon,
“Emoein” in which they are inseparable. I just want to drop you a quick line and wish
you a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
God Bless,
The Cash Family

This letter is from the Felson family
who opened their home to Bowie,
a Lilac Point from Vienna's litter.
|
| |
Hey, Alease!
We did it. Here's the evidence. When I think how worried I
was this time last week....
Okay. Now I've been thinking about all the people I wouldn't have met and
all the things I wouldn't have done and all the places I wouldn't have gone
if I'd followed through with the saying, "Aww, it'll never happen." So here
goes. I'm having a little stop by meet and greet for all the women who have
been patiently waiting to meet Bowie on Sunday. A
tiny champagne toast and a chocolate truffle and a bite of my cake. Nuthin'
fancy, come as you are. If I thought for one second that after spending
half the day interviewing prospective kitten parents you might actually
drive an hour through two lanes of IKEA traffic on a school night so you
could drive an hour back in the dark in time to get those girls dinner,
bathed and bedded I'd have to be nuts. But, hey, we already know that.
Just in case, JUST IN CASE, you might do it though, I'm telling you I'd be
thrilled to death if I found you at the door. I suspect Bowie might be
pretty happy about the whole thing too. And I couldn't enjoy it if I didn't
invite the person responsible for it all (cover your ears, Vienna). Bring
[your daughter] so she can see what happens when the babies fly the nest. I dunno,
maybe you all have never made an in-home visit, but I'll bet everybody asks.
So. I love that little squeak. He's pretty fond of me but so far, it's
[My husband] he absolutely adores. (I'll fix that starting tomorrow when he goes
back to work.) It's going to be a good time in the old house tonight.
We're watching the Oscars together before the boys fade off. They sleep
(mostly) next to us on their down stuffed chair with their heating pad
coming on and off all night. Funny, we all wake up in the same bed in the
morning. Both of them are here with me right now, and they are telling me
to quit this silliness and get on downstairs where I belong.
Okay, I'm
off. The boys run the show around here.

Alease,
Hello it has been almost two months since we brought home Titus and I just wanted to let you know he is doing just fine. Titus likes to think he owns the house and gets along great with Rowan our three year seal point. On Feb. 20, 2009 Titus is going to get neutered and once that is done I will send you a copy for your records. Anyway I just wanted to let you know that Titus is a joy and we love him very much, Chuck said he completes our family right now. Also here are a few photos of the little devil so you can see how he is doing. Hope you enjoy and as he gets bigger I'll send more. Best wishes and thank you so much for our baby.

Dear Alease,
I have attached a few pictures of the babies. They are sitting in my lap right now as I am typing. They are absolutely the sweetest, most loving kitties I have EVER seen. I can't get over how laid back they are especially with my 3 year old who just can't keep his hands off of them. He LOVES to hold them (just like I do ).
It is so funny to see my supposedly "not a cat person" fiance laying on the sofa with the babies laying on his neck and chest. I told him "oh I will put them on my lap" and he said no that's okay! LOL When he comes over now he gives the babies kisses even before he kisses me!
They are eating better now. I guess they have gotten use to the can food. Grayson's toes seem to be doing fine. I noticed that when he walks he tilts his head to the side. I guess that is part of his cuteness!
We love and adore these babies so much. Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt them!
Love,
Sherry

Hello to you!!!
Little Miss Coco is doing wonderfully. In just a week and a half we can tell she is growing and getting stronger. Here are a few pictures. The night we brought her home she snuggled up in my knitting. She sleeps with me every night. She is such a joy.
Thank you again.

This letter is from the Sechler family who opened their home to Lindsay a Blue Point from Suki's litter.
|
| |
Alease,
I'd like to point out that the purchase we made back in March to receive Lindsay (blue seal point) was the best ever! She's constantly playing, chirping at the birds through the window, talking, and fetching. She LOVES being held, picked on, and piggy back rides...haha yes piggy back rides. Ill send photos of that later...haha. She's truly a joyful addition to the family and we love her so! Pucker (my tabby) plays very well with her; that's until Lindsay decides to get too rough...haha.
Anyway, would love to thank you for allowing my family to take her in and hope to purchase another in the future.
P.S. As you can tell Lindsay LOVES the camera ;)

Hello, Alease and family!
I wanted to say how thrilled our family is with our Darling baby Simon Peter! He is purely a delightful addition to our family. He is doing very well and we have all fell madly in love with our baby.
While we were driving home, we learned how special Simon ways. He loves to be held and talked to us the whole way home telling us the story of his life so far. He loved to kiss us and nuzzle our noses. When we introduced him to our other pets, they took to him immediately. He is very loving and gentle to our little rattie princesses and sometimes he believes he is a rat and longs to play with them outside their cage, or tries to climb in and cuddle with them. Our children and their friends love Simon to death. He gets upset when he can't join their play outside but attentively waits for them at the door and window so he can greet them when they return. He runs around the house just like the kids were running outside. He loves to play fetch and could do it for hours on end. He loves to curl up in our laps and just nuzzle and hold our faces with his little paws. He curls under our covers with all of us and just goes from room to room during the night to spend some quality time with all of us but does not disturb us, he just cuddles up and sleeps.
His personality is more than we expected, in a wonderful way. He is a non-stop little motor. We can just say hello, Simon and the motor starts. He is very vocal and we are sure that he has learned all our names and says them in his own kitty voice differently. We like to play Simon says and he gets lots of kisses and treats. He is loved by the neighborhood and our veterinary staff. We get phone calls just to see how he is doing and if they can stop by to visit.
Everyone who encounters Simon loves him immediately and compliments us on his personality and beauty. We can definitely tell that Simon was bred and brought up in a very loving home before we went to get him. Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for our Darling baby, Simon!

This letter is from Ken And Gail who opened their home to Abby and Luxor, both Seal Points from Meeka's litter.

Gee, what a wonderful experience Virginians, Ken and Gail B. had at British Mists Cattery, in Lexington, NC. With the sudden death of our beloved Chocolate Point Siamese.... February 2, 2008, we were lonely and very much needed to locate a Siamese companion to fill the void. Our daughter, located Alease Wilson, to hopefully help her fill the void that was needed by her parents. Alease did just that, with the promise of a female that would be soon be delivered from Fairydust Meeka. Our little Abby was born on February 25, 2008. What a joyous celebration, Alease sent pictures, and made Ken and myself feel as though we were right there, experiencing the events of the new babies. We constantly were in-touch with Alease, and visiting our new baby. Prior to the second visit we decided that in-order to have well-rounded Siamese babies, we needed two, since they would be there alone as we worked during the week. We didn't want Abby to be lonely and depressed since she would be used to brothers and sisters at her Lexington home. With that in mind we decided to add to our growing family a brother for Abby. Boy what a special boy, Mr. Luxor. Ken didn't have any idea that he would be able to purchase the handsome, distinctive Mr. Luxor. Alease and Roy made sure that we had two wonderful Siamese Children, that we assured them would be treated just as they had been raised, with royalty. On May the 17th we picked our precious children up and introduced them to their new home in Virginia.
I cannot say enough about Alease, she is truly a wonderful person, and a terrific breeder. Her first concern, is for her Siamese parents, and their offspring. She gives each of her babies, a good sound start from the moment of conception till they are ready for meeting their new families. As any animal lover knows, the future of your pet, lies in the foundation of the species. I have not ever seen a more learned, caring, and genuine person as I have seen in Alease and her family, and felines. It is such a pleasure to have met and acquired such a person, that I call my friend.
Thank you Alease, Roy, and girls, from the bottom of our hearts,
We all love you,
Gail, Ken, Abby, and Luxor (Virginia)

I have attached some pictures that were taken a few weeks ago of Miss Jasmine :) One of the pictures is her daytime activities (sleeping), one of them is just her stretching out and the other I woke her by taking a picture as she had fallen asleep on my son's lap one evening.
The evening she came in, I had her an area set up in my husband and I's room for the first couple of days, because she was being shipped to me (thank you for transporting her to the airport Roy!), I wanted her first few days to be calm. However she only wanted to be in there for about 15 minutes! She was then out roaming the house, introducing herself to everyone! We have one cat and one dog, it took her a day or so to adjust to Sadie (our other cat), however it took about a week for her to get used to Bailey (our dog). We have three kids, twin daughters that are six years old and a two year old boy. My son carries her around like a baby doll and she just hangs there looking around. LOL..It's so funny. She loves everyone, but at night you can often find her on my lap until we go to bed...then she is in bed with my son or us...curled up under the covers. She is quite the talker, it seems she sleeps all day and when we get home she runs around "yelling" for us to play with her. :) She loves to toss her mice around and yes...she still drags her baby blanket around the house!
It took me a while to locate a breeder I felt comfortable with. I wanted to find someone that did not cage their kittens and they were raised with love and around kids. I found that with Alease. I had started out wanting either a Blue Point or a Lilac Point. However, when someone opted not to take the Seal Point girl she had, I fell in love after seeing her pictures. I had such a great experience with Alease and felt confident that I was getting a beautiful little girl, which I did!
Thank you both for such a wonderful experience!

This letter is from The Beddingtons who opened their home to Rudy a Seal Point from Suki's litter.
|
| |
I would just like to say we purchased a kitty from British Mists Cattery in March. We have never had such a sweet, loving kitty! After owning our Rudy I know we'll never own a domestic cat again. I've had cats all my life and I've never had one like this. He is such a joy to us. He loves our small boys and is always loving on them too. We kept him on the raw meat diet. We want to do everything we can to have as many years with Rudy as possible. If (when) I ever buy another Siamese I know I will go to Alease! She loves her babies long after they leave her. She's been so helpful to me with learning all the things that are different with this breed.
Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Hey Alease,
I have taken Lily to get spayed today and wanted to let you know she is doing well after her surgery. My vet said she was the prettiest cat she has ever seen. I agreed!!! My baby! […] Mom is sure she wants a blue point and from Lily's parents, so she has asked me to ask you to let us know when you breed them again. I, on the other hand, want another kitten so that Lily isn't alone when we move to our own place. I can wait for another litter if the one you have has been taken. I know how in demand your kittens are. I am kind of interested to see what the litters will look like from your new cats that you plan to breed. I do know that Lily has been the best kitten that has happened to me in years. I absolutely adore her and can't thank you enough. […] I also wanted you to know that everyone at my vets office wanted to know where I got Lily, so I let them know. I may be sending you quite a few people that are interested in Siamese. They said it has been a while since they have seen one in the office and it really sparked some interest. I am such a trend setter sometimes! HA! JK! Who doesn't love a Siamese!?
Anyway's, I will be in touch in the next day or so, but thought you would want to know how our Lily was doing. […] So, I will come up next week to visit with the new kittens and drop off Lily's paperwork. You are the best breeder! Lily is the sweetest cat I have ever been around. She kisses me every day and sits on my chest before she goes to sleep with me. Your mentor should be so proud.
BIG Hug!!!

Hey Alease,
Hi Alease it is the Brooks family. I thought we would give you an update on Puss and Becky. These are the best cats we have ever seen. Puss is a real ham. Most of the times he is on my shoulder while i walk around the house. He is a real meeker he will have a conversation with you. Becky is more into the children. When they open their doors in the morning she is right there talking to them. Especially our son. She loves to play fetch. She will only fetch those little furry mice with the rattles inside. But she will literally fetch all day. They love sleeping on our pillows in between my wife and I. I really appreciate the way you raise your kittens it really shows in their temperaments as they get older. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,

Well--I know it's been way too long since I have written. My apologies--you know how busy it gets. Everyone is fine. Raj is such a sweetheart--it did take him a few weeks to warm up to us--but he is long past that point. But what's really incredible is how close the 2 of them are. Pratt just adores Raj--and does whatever Raj does. They sleep together, play all day, and are thick as thieves. We have a place near Asheville in the mountains, and they come up with us on the weekend and love it up there.
Raj has snuck out of the house a couple of times, but we have caught him fairly quickly. One time Pratt came and "told" us that Raj got out. It was quite humorous.
I have to run now, but I will try to send some more pics soon. Hope all is well with you!
